Gigaphoton, Inc. has announced its establishment of Gigaphoton USA, Inc., to be based in Beaverton, Oregon. The expansion is a result of the increased U.S. customer demand for Gigaphoton’s laser light sources, and the potential growth for the subsidiary inherent in the area. As President and CEO of Gigaphoton USA, Inc., Hitoshi Tomaru will be responsible for all U.S. operations. 

Mr. Tomaru’s most recent role prior to this news was as Corporate Vice President and General Manager for Gigaphoton’s U.S. and Europe operations and market development. He joined Gigaphoton from Komatsu, Ltd., where he held general and senior-level management roles.

Gigaphoton USA, Inc. is a new subsidiary of Gigaphoton, Inc., the laser light source company.
