WiSpry, Inc., the RF IC design company, has enlisted the experience
of two MEMS experts to enhance its Advisory Board. Dr. Kurt Petersen
(pictured) and Dr. Gabriel Rebeiz have joined the company to assist the
company in its technology development.
Joining existing board members Joseph Adam, Jim Hartman and John
Petersen, the two new recruits bring years of MEMS and RF-MEMS
technology experience to the company.

Dr. Petersen first
established a MEMS research group in 1975 while at IBM Research. He
co-founded four MEMS technology companies – Transensory Devices, Inc.,
NovaSensor, Cepheid and SiTime - during his career, which has seen him
publish over 100 technology papers and receive over 35 patents. He was
the recipient of the IEEE Simon Ramo Medal in 2001 for his outstanding
contributions to the MEMS field of research and currently holds the
title of consulting professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford
University.
Dr. Rebeiz’s field of research includes RF-MEMS
and microwave technologies, and he is currently professor and head of
the Telecom, Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab at the UCSD Jacobs
School of Engineering in San Diego. He was dubbed a Fellow of IEEE and
received the IEEE Microwave Prize in 2000. He also established a
successful research team at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
