Rudolph Technologies, Inc. has announced that Leo Berlinghieri, President and CEO for MKS Instruments, has agreed to join its Board of Directors. The appointment, which came into effect on September 18th, 2008, will see Mr. Berlinghieri apply his management, M&A, operations and development experience garnered from more than 28 years in the semiconductor industry to the semiconductor equipment supplier.

Mr. Berlinghieri, CEO, President and member of the Board for MKS Instruments, Inc., has held a variety of roles with the company since joining in 1980, including COO, Vice President of Global Sales and Service, Manufacturing Manager, Production and Inventory Control Manager, and Director of Customer Support Operations. It is also expected that he will serve on Rudolph’s Compensation Committee.
