TI’s Chairman retires; CEO Templeton steps in Print E-mail

ImageTexas Instruments’ Chairman Thomas Engibous (pictured) has announced his impending retirement from the role. An employee of the company since 1976, Mr. Engibous is set to retire following the company’s 2008 stockholders’ meeting on April 17th. 

Stepping in to take up the Chairman role is company CEO and President Richard K. Templeton, who has worked with Thomas Engibous for the past 15 years.  Templeton joined the company in 1980, was named President of TI’s semiconductor group in 1996, COO in 2000 and President and CEO in 2004.

Texas Instruments, Inc. is a major IDM.
