Former Komatsu CEO Makoto Inoue to head Cognex K.K. Print E-mail

ImageDr. Makoto Inoue (pictured) has been named as the new President of Cognex K.K., the Japanese subsidiary of Cognex Corporation. Dr. Inoue joins the company from a 30-year tenure with Komatsu, Ltd., where he most recently held the role of CEO and President of Komatsu Electronics, Inc. 

Dr. Inoue joined Cognex K.K.’s Board of Directors in 2000 following that company’s procurement of Komatsu’s Electronics Division in the same year.  He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in engineering from Tokyo University and a Ph.D. in engineering from Cambridge University.

Cognex K.K. is a machine vision systems supplier.
