The newly formed SOI Industry Consortium has appointed Horacio Mendez as Executive Director, and has named its Board of Directors (see below). As Executive Director, Mr. Mendez’s years of SOI technology integration will aid in managing the Consortium’s daily operations. 

An industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience, Mendez’s latest role was as Director of New Product Development at Freescale Semiconductor, where he was responsible for SOI product integration and commercialization of SOI technology-based products while working closely with OEMs.

The SOI Industry Consortium’s aim is to accelerate SOI innovation by reducing barriers to adoption of the technology and highlighting the benefits of the technology.
