KLA-Tencor’s Board of Directors has welcomed Kiran Patel and Bob Akins
(pictured) as new additions, while H. Raymond Bingham has announced his
retirement from the Board, also ending his seven-year tenure as
Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Patel is Senior Vice President and General Manager of the
Consumer Tax Group of Intuit, Inc., personal finance and small business
software provider, and has also served as Senior Vice President and CFO
for Intuit. Prior to joining Intuit, he was Executive Vice President
and CFO of Solectron Corp. from 2001 to 2005, and spent 27 years with
Cummins, Inc. in a variety of finance and business positions including
CFO and Executive Vice President.
Co-founder of Cymer, Inc. and
Chairman and CEO of the company since its inception in 1986, Bob Akins
brings years of senior management experience to the KLA board. He
currently serves as the Vice Chairman of SEMI and is currently a member
of the Board of Directors of SEMI North America.
KLA-Tencor is the largest semiconductor metrology equipment supplier in the industry.
