International Rectifier Tim Bixler has been named as International Rectifier Corp.’s Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary with immediate effect. His responsibilities will include management of the company’s legal affairs, providing legal counsel to the Board of Directors and management, and he will report to Chief Administrative Officer Don Dancer.

Mr. Bixler joins International Rectifier from his former role as Senior Counsel for General Electric’s Homeland Protection business, prior to which role he was Business Counsel for GE Plastics. Prior to joining General Electric in 2001, Mr. Bixler served as General Counsel for eMD.com and as counsel for Ashland, Inc./APAC, Inc. He has a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a J.D. from Cornell Law School.
