ImageHans Olsen has announced his intention to take temporary leave of absence from his role as CEO for Pixelworks to attend to a health issue.  In his absence, the duration of which will depend on his health status, the company’s Lead Director, Bruce A. Walicek, will take over the duties of CEO.

As acting CEO and President of the company, Mr. Walicek will remain a member of the Board but gives up his Lead Director role for the duration.  Joining the company from Sevin Rosen Funds, where he held the role of Executive in Residence, Mr. Walicek has been a member of Pixelworks’ Board of Directors since 2005.

Pixelworks, Inc. is a fabless company.
