ILS Technology has said that it has signed up two leading semiconductor manufacturers in Japan to its secureWISE controlled access e-manufacturing technology and services.
“Chipmakers in Japan are eager to adopt e-manufacturing initiatives as outlined by the International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative, but remain concerned about maintaining security and managing access to IP within their fabs,” said Joe Cestari, CEO of ILS Technology. “ILS Technology addresses many of the chipmakers’ concerns with secureWISE. It enables critical productivity information to be passed back and forth from any fab to equipment suppliers, customers and engineers within the fab without jeopardizing the integrity of the IP running on the processing equipment. IC manufacturers in Japan have now embraced the security that our technology enables as they continue to enjoy the same protection to IP that they’ve always had.”
In Japan, ILS Technology worked with the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) to make sure secureWISE was cross-compatible with several different technology platforms.
