Towering inferno reshuffles fire crew & departments Print E-mail

New head honcho of Tower Semiconductor has made his first public mark on the company with a management reshuffle and department re-branding exercise. Tower CEO Russell Ellwanger went off traveling a few months ago to pop in on most of the customers it still has. He reported that fact in the last quarterly results. It would seem that after those visits a few things needed sorting.

Though Tower is a small company Ellwanger has stressed that the latest management tweaks are designed to improve communication with customers and the fabs. A classic case of reacting too slow to customer requirements when it comes to product launches.

The other snippet of information comes from the need to spell-out to the market what exactly Tower can actually fabricate! Going forward the company will have three main P&L departments, Image sensors, RF/mixed signal and CMOS. Of course that is what it had before but know you really know what they can do, OK!
