MacKnight & DuttonFollowing a 6-year tenure with the company, Robert MacKnight (pictured left) has announced his intention to retire from the role of President and COO for Mattson Technology in March 2008.  MacKnight was dubbed COO in 2002, and following his planned departure from the company, he will remain on in a transitional VP capacity until a replacement is found.

Mr. MacKnight joined the company in 2001 as EVP of business development and General Manager of the RTP Business Unit, and was promptly promoted to President of the TFE product division.

Mr. MacKnight’s COO duties will be temporarily taken over by CEO David Dutton (pictured right), who commented on the upcoming retirement of MacKnight: “Bob's contributions to Mattson Technology have been significant, and we will miss him.”
