Unaxis reported some horrible financial figures for the half
year point and immediately claimed to start a massive cost cutting program.
The capital equipment company,
produced a loss of 117 million swiss francs compared to profit last year
of 26 million.
The company has been in a managerial mess since the previous
President was forced out by the family owners to then sell off to two
investment firms. Another mess followed with the appointment of ex Infineon
executive Harald Eggers as Interim Chief Executive.
The problem is, he is currently
being investigated by German State investigators over kickbacks for
fixing sports sponsorship deals while at
Infineon. Also yesterday investigators, claimed that suspicion that payments
had been made has now been confirmed.
News reports noted that Eggers was not available for comment as he was on vacation. Maybe now-a very long vacation!
