BASF opens new semiconductor materials production facility Print E-mail

BASFBASF has officially opened its new ‘Electronic Materials Center Europe’ facility in Ludwigshafen, Germany that will be the main production center for process chemicals used in the semiconductor industry for customers within Europe. 

After completion of the qualification activities at the end of 2007, routine production will commence in January, 2008. All research, product development (including state-of-the-art analytics and a cleanroom laboratory), marketing and sales will be integrated at the site. 60 new permanent jobs were created with the venture, according to BASF.
