Air Liquide Deutschland GmbH has said it will build and operate a new gas liquefaction plant in the Ulm region of Germany at a cost of approximately €60 million. 700 tonnes of liquefied gases (nitrogen, oxygen and argon) per day will be processed at the new plant.

Klaus Schmieder, Senior Executive Vice President, Air Liquide Group, said: “Our investment in the South of Germany is an integral part of our expansion strategy in order to meet the increasing needs of our customers and to further develop our range of products and services for the key industries in Germany.”

Approximately 15 jobs will be created at the new plant, the company said.
