Industry veteran Kirk Pond joins Brooks Automation’s Board of Directors |

Retired Fairchild Semiconductor CEO and Chairman Kirk P. Pond (pictured) has been added to the Brooks Automation Board of Directors with immediate effect. Mr. Pond’s addition brings the number of Board members to nine.
Mr. Pond began his near 40-year career in the industry with Texas Instruments in 1968, and since then has held various senior-level positions with some of the major players in the industry. His most recent role as Chairman of Fairchild Semiconductor ran from 1997 to 2006, and prior to Fairchild’s separation from National Semiconductor, he held roles such as COO and Executive Vice President with the company. He is on the Board of Directors for a number companies, and has been a member of the advisory board for the University of Arkansas Engineering School since 1987.
