SEMI’s annual presentation of the Bob Graham Award took place on November 6th at the SEMI International Trade Partners Conference to recognize excellence in the semiconductor sales and marketing industry. For his contributions to semiconductor equipment and materials marketing, Richard Hong of KLA-Tencor has been granted the award for 2007.
Richard has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, amassed from companies such as KLA-Tencor, his current employers, Samsung Semiconductor, and Al Omran. He has been actively involved with associations such as SEMI, FORCA, The Korean American Semiconductor Association and the Korea IT Network.
His most widely-known contribution to the industry was his development and deployment of the “In Line Monitoring” concept while at Samsung, a concept that is now used in fabs worldwide. Stanley T. Myers, President and CEO of SEMI, said, “Richard exemplifies the qualities of a Bob Graham Award recipient, and we are pleased to confer this honor upon one so deserving of it.” By Síle Mc Mahon
