A recent power outage at Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (ASMC) has meant a major disruption to the foundry, which has had to order replacement quartz and other materials for thermal furnaces and other tools before volume production for customers can be resumed.
One customer, California Micro Devices, noted that its revenues for the next quarter would be impacted by up to $1 million.
"ASMC has informed us that it expects to complete repairs to damaged equipment and resume processing wafers within the next four to six weeks," said Robert V. Dickinson, President and CEO of California Micro Devices.
