Since I will be in Phoenix next week to cover the Flexible Display and Microelectronics Conference, I'd like to share a blast from MICRO's past. Here's a link to my Editors Page in the March 2005 edition, headlined "The Future Looks Flexible," which offered my musings on the opening of the Flexible Display Center at Arizona State and the nascent industry in general. Two years on, the future may not exactly be now for flexible electronics, but the sector has started showing positive signs of its vast commercial potential being tapped.
