While doing my usual surfing of semiconductor and micro/nano sites around the Internet, I came across an unusual collision of content and advertising on Solid State Technology's site.
Flashing away on its news pages is an ad for FSI International. But today, the Webvert ends up being surrounded by a story on an apparent FSI investor group's minirevolt, which includes some none-too-complimentary comments about the company's current management.
A coupling of ad and editorial content like this would never happen in a well-run print magazine, but it illustrates the inadvertent conflicts that Web advertising left on autopilot sometimes creates. Here's a link to the offending page.
