Ed KorczynskiEd Korczynski (pictured), Senior Technical Editor at Solid State Technology magazine (SST), signed off from his blog, ‘Ed’s Threads,’ for the last time last Friday, noting that he has resigned his position and is going to pursue some new directions within the semiconductor manufacturing sector.

As one of the most knowledgeable journalists amongst the semiconductor trade press, his departure follows a series of changes at SST in the last few months. Most recently, Pete Singer joined STT from Semiconductor International (SI) as the new Editor-in-Chief as well as the return of David Barach as Publisher.

Korczynski received a degree in materials science and engineering from MIT in 1984, and worked in semiconductor manufacturing as well as for equipment suppliers, including Applied Materials and PDF Solutions.
