Texas Instruments to stop chip production at Tucson, AZ fab

Texas Instruments executives noted during its most recent quarterly conference call to report financial results that its manufacturing operations in Tucson will cease for some engineering development work. TI expects to incur total restructuring charges of about $35 million and save $20 million annually.
