Camstar Systems, is opening a multi-lingual customer support center in
Singapore. The new center will provide customers in Southeast Asia and
Greater China with live technical support in English and Mandarin, with
plans to expand to other languages in 2006. Technology Resources Group
(TR Group), a Camstar solutions partner, will work with Camstar's
Technical Support Group to provide regional technical support services.
"When we built the support center in Singapore, we wanted to provide
our customers in Southeast Asia and Greater China with outstanding
technical expertise and product support," said Scott Jones, Camstar's
vice president of product development and customer support. "This new
support center will be more than a call center. Our customers will work
directly with technical engineers and domain experts who have been
trained at our corporate headquarters and have expertise installing,
optimizing and supporting Camstar's InSite™ product suite."
Located in Singapore's International Business Park, the support center
will begin by providing technical support to Advanced Micro Devices,
which recently replaced its existing manufacturing execution system
(MES) with Camstar's InSite application suite for its test, assembly
and packaging operations in Asia Pacific. Camstar plans to extend its
live technical support to other customers in Singapore, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Thailand and China in the coming year.

Comment by GUEST on 2008-04-22 17:42:15 This was and has been a complete mess. Most of the customers have gone back to direct support from Camstar instead of opting to use TR Group so-called experts. Camstar has also opened an office in Shanghai to help support the customers in Asia but it is not a full support center. |
