Solutions has launched what it claims to be the first and only handheld
particle counter in the industry that can measure 0.2 micron particles
at 0.1CFM. The HANDHELD2016 offers 6 channels of simultaneous particle
counting from 0.2 microns to 2.0 microns as well as Temperature and
Relative Humidity data. Continuing its goal to make technology easy to
use for anyone, Lighthouse incorporates its state-of-the-art touch
screen display and simple software interface.
Problem: As semiconductor line widths shrink, the impact of
contamination looms ever larger. To reduce the threat of contamination,
many wafer fabs are adopting the use of minienvironments and robotics.
These technologies isolate operating personnel from the wafers.
However, it does not isolate the wafers from all contamination risks.
Monitoring the minienvironments, SMIF pods, FOUPs, load stations, and
the tool itself remains crucial to assuring the integrity of the
enclosure and process tool.
Solution: Cleanroom certification and testing is an important
part of any cleanroom facility. Lighthouse created particle counters
specifically for cleanroom testing and certification. Lightweight,
