From January 1st, 2008, William Kroll, current CEO of Matheson Tri-Gas, will step into the role of company Chairman, with the additional duties of overseeing the R&D Group, Tri-Gas Technologies and the Strategic Marketing Organization. The restructuring is an attempt to improve alignment with Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC), parent group of Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc.
Current President and COO James Samples will fill the CEO vacancy left by Mr. Kroll’s move to the Chairman role. Mr. Samples also assumes the duties of Chief Risk Officer.
Further executive reshuffles include the promotion of company EVP and General Manager of the Industrial Gas Group Scott Kallman to the role of COO and Senior EVP. Rick Kowey leaves his former role as EVP and General Manager of Global Specialty Gases, R&D and Corporate Innovation to take up the mantle of Chief Marketing Officer, while company CFO and Senior VP Joe Bellitto receives corporate status as his role changes to Executive VP and CFO.
Each of these new appointments will be effective from January 1st, 2008.
