Air LiquideAir Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC has raised the price of specialty gases by between five and 20 percent, while delivery charges have increase by 25 percent. Cylinder oxygen, acetylene, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and other gas products will increase by five to 20 percent, while the price of helium will be increased by between 20 and 25 percent. The increased costs will come into effect on September 1st, 2008, excluding customer contracts that have stipulated fixed prices.

“Rising raw material costs along with growing energy and world commodity costs are driving this inflation,” said Guy Rowland, President of Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC. “This is further compounded by rising labour and insurance costs and the escalating cost of distribution associated with sourcing and delivery.”
