The spate of migration to Asian manufacturing within the global semiconductor market is a cause for concern, especially in the European region where manufacturing costs are relatively high. SEMI has announced an upcoming discussion on the challenges facing the industry, and will divulge the opportunities available to remedy these challenges.
These positive aspects of the European microelectronics industry include the region’s strength in the growing photovoltaics market. The panel will also discuss strategies for improvements in the equipment and materials markets in the region.
The Semicon Europa “Executive Summit” will take place in the International Congress Center on Tuesday October 9th at 10am. Speakers for the event are Wolfgang Ziebert (pictured), CEO of Infineon Technologies; Peter Woditsch, CEO of Deutsche Solar; Bernd Haeuser, Vice President of Bosch; André-Jacques Auberton-Hervé, Soitec CEO; and Papken der Torossian, Executive Chairman for Vistec.
