National Semiconductor’s Arlington fab reaches new safety milestone |

National Semiconductor has reported that its Arlington, Texas fab has surpassed two million working hours without a lost time injury. According to National Semiconductor, less than 0.0002 percent of U.S. corporations have earned this distinction.
"Achieving two million hours without a lost time injury is a significant milestone and reflects the commitment of every employee in our plant," said John Conn, Vice President and Managing Director of National's Arlington manufacturing facility.
The company currently employs about 500 people in Arlington and is certified as a U.S. OSHA safe place to work under the (VPP) Voluntary Protection Program. The site has QS9000, ISO9001, OHSAS 18001 accreditation and ISO14001 certification.
