Paula LuprioreAsyst Technologies, Inc. has named a new COO and CFO in Paula LuPriore (pictured) and Aaron Tachibana, respectively. Ms. LuPriore takes up the roles of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, departing her former role with the company as Senior Vice President, Automation Solutions Group. Aaron Tachibana, who had tendered his resignation to the company about a month ago, has been retained as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He previously held the roles of Vice President, Finance, and Principal Accounting Officer of Asyst.

Ms. LuPriore joined Asyst in 2002 as Vice President and General Manager of Software, and was appointed to her most recent Senior Vice President role in January 2007. She came to Asyst from IBM where she held various Vice President roles. She has a degree in applied mathematics from the University of Rhode Island.

Mr. Tachibana started his career with Asyst in 2004 as division controller and served as Vice President of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer from 2007 to 2008. He also worked under the titles of Senior Director, FP&A and Operational Finance and Division Controller. Previous tenures include a role as VP of Corporate Planning & Development at Allied Telesyn; VP and CFO of TapCast, Inc.; VP and Controller of TeraStor Corporation and as a member of the Financial Management program at the General Electric Company. Mr. Tachibana holds a degree in business administration-finance from San Jose State University.
