Brooks Automation has made its second executive appointment in a week with the announcement of Michael McCarthy's move to the company to take up the role of Director of Investor Relations. The company announced a few days ago that it has named a new CEO in the form of Robert Lepofsky, following the retirement of Edward C. Grady (http://www.fabtech.org/content/view/3284/128/).
Mr. McCarthy leaves his 13-year investor relations career at Photronics to join Brooks, replacing Mark B. Chung who has taken over the position of Vice President of Sales for Brooks Automation Korea. A member of the National Investor Relations Institute and the Public Relations Society of America, Mr. McCarthy has a B.Sc. degree from Michigan State University, majoring in public affairs management.
Brooks Automation, Inc. is a subsystems supplier to semiconductor OEMs.
