With a 21 percent decline in global NAND revenue in the first quarter many manufacturers slowed production ramps which resulted in NAND bit shipments increasing by 9 percent in the second quarter, down from a 32 percent increase in the first quarter. The global megabyte ASP increased by 5 percent during the second quarter, the market research firm said.

With improved demand expected for the second-half of the year coupled to a tight supply situation, iSuppli has upgraded its global 2007 NAND flash revenue growth forecast to the 10 to 15 percent range, up from the previous prediction of flat growth.
