TempressA recently acquired new solar industry customer based in Asia has placed a follow-on order with Amtech Systems valued at $4.9 million for its diffusion processing systems for solar cell manufacturing. Amtech expects the $4.9 million order to ship in fiscal 2008.

"We continue to execute our growth plan and generate strong momentum and interest for our products with current and potential new customers within the rapidly growing solar market," said J.S. Whang, President and Chief Executive Officer of Amtech.

For its fiscal 2007 year-to-date, Amtech has received approximately $19.0 million of solar orders, including this most recent order.
