Dr. SuFreescale Semiconductor has announced the appointment of company Senior Vice President and CTO Dr. Lisa Su as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Networking and Multimedia. She joined Freescale in 2007 as Senior Vice President and CTO, and replaces Lynelle Mc Kay in the Networking and Multimedia role. Dr. Su will continue in the role of CTO until a permanent replacement is found.

Dr. Su came to Freescale from her former role leading global semiconductor research and development for IBM. She had also held various managerial roles for IBM earlier in her career, including Vice President of technology development and alliances in the Systems and Technology Group and Director of the PowerPCTM product line.
