Tegal Corporation named Peter Dijkstra as the new VP of Global sales, effective immediately. He brings more than 25 years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment market implementing global sales and service strategies. Most recent, Dijkstra was Director of Worldwide Sales & Customer Support for Alcatel Micro Machining Systems (AMMS), a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, which was acquired by Tegal in September 2008.

Dijkstra was with Alcatel for almost 20 years and held field engineer, sales and support engineer, and sales manager positions. He also held senior engineering positions at FOM-AMOLF and VG Instruments, based in the Netherlands. 

Dijkstra holds a degree from the Maritime Academy with a concentration in HF electronics and telecommunications.
