Jun 20, 2007 at 04:53 PM
ImageIntegrated Dynamics Engineering has opened a full-service facility in Tokyo, Japan to support product development, sales, and customer service for semiconductor equipment manufacturers in the country.

The primary focus of the facility will be to support vibration isolation and acoustic control systems used in electron beam microscopes and EMI cancellation systems for MRI installations in difficult urban environments, the company said.

"As the semiconductor industry continues to expand, as our relationships with Japan's leading OEMs dramatically increase, and as our global business evolves positively, we need to establish a truly solid IDE base in Japan," stated Peter Heiland, IDE Group President and CEO. "To develop tomorrow's customized products for our OEM customers today we need to develop a highly trained staff in Japan."

IDE has been active in the Pacific Rim for nearly fifteen years via a systems support relationship with JEOL DATUM Ltd.
