Atheros appoints VP of Wireless Networking Business Unit |

 Atheros Communications, Inc. has named the Vice President and General Manager of its Wireless Networking Business Unit as Ben Naskar (pictured). This new position was created to aid in the expansion of the company's market share and customer base, and the addition of Naskar to the role adds 20 years' industry experience to the Unit.
Ben Naskar joins the company from his former role as Vice President and General Manager of PMC Sierra's Communications Products Division, prior to which he was President and CEO of Magfusion, an RF MEMS company. Other roles include Naskar's time as Vice President and Managing Director of Analog Devices' Asia Pacific region; Group Director of the Computing and Communications Division for National Semiconductor; and Director of the Microcontroller and Embedded Processors Group for AMD.
Naskar has a bachelor of engineering degree in electronics and computer science from the University of Auckland in New Zealand and an M.B.A. in from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
