XSiL appoints Brian Farrell as CEO replacement |

Brian Farrell has stepped into XSiL's CEO vacancy left by Peter Conlon, who stays with the company in the position of chairman. Farrell, a co-founder of XSiL, has held the role of VP of engineering since 2000, prior to which he co-founded MV Technology. He served as VP of engineering for MV Technology until it was taken over by Agilent Technologies.
Mr. Farrell has a B.A. in mathematics and a B.A.I. in mechanical engineering, both from Trinity College, Dublin. A member of the Engineers Ireland, he also has a master's degree in engineering design from University College, Dublin.
XSiL is a laser systems technology company.
