OrionOne of the largest semiconductor manufacturers has, according to NexTech Solutions, concluded acceptance test of its ORION Reticle Inspection System. The ORION system is claimed to have a high throughput while enabling 100 percent inspection and qualification of reticles for step and repeat lithography production tools.

"Because macro inspection of reticles is a critical requirement during the semiconductor photolithography process, the potential for ORION system sales is significant," stated Mr. Tony Di Napoli, CEO of NexTech Solutions. "The worldwide semiconductor market continues to grow at a steady rate, thus the need for ORION systems in the manufacturing fabs throughout the worldwide semiconductor industry is substantial."

The company said that the acceptance of this tool could potentially result in up to 30 additional systems being ordered over the next two years. The ORION system will be installed in several of the customer's facilities worldwide, the company said.
