AMD gets a slap in Taiwan! Print E-mail
May 21, 2007 at 04:03 PM
Unaccustomed as I am to ranting in this blog, I noticed what seemed like a normal news/commentary type story over at DigiTimes turn into a blog-style rant directed at AMD over soft-launches that may never meet real expectations once delivered in testable products.

AMD didn't do too well with me recently either, as it forgot to invite me for the second year in a row to a tech briefing! That and delayed papers from AMD make me wonder what kind of muddle they really are in!

It now seems they have upset another trade media site, which is not known for such critical displays.

TSMC's Chuck Byers was in London recently and talked with journalists, but again I was strangely not invited by TSMC's PR agency to meet up with Mr. Byers. Then again it may have been at Chuck's instructions not to ask me as I am sure I have upset him over something in the not too distant past?

What has upset DigiTimes is not known but AMD seems to be shooting itself in the foot while Intel stamps on the other one. Not the best way to keep up with its larger rival!

Anyway, the DigiTimes story can be viewed here:
