Kevin Kennedy and John Dickson join KLA Board |

KLA-Tencor has announced the appointment of JDS Uniphase Corp. CEO Kevin Kennedy (pictured) and Agere Systems' former CEO, John Dickson to its board of directors. They join Robert Calderoni who was also recently appointed to the KLA board.
Currently CEO and member of the board for JDS Uniphase Corp., Kevin Kennedy's past career includes a year serving as COO for Openwave Systems, Inc, and seven years working with Cisco Systems, Inc. in the capacity of senior vice president of the company's Software Technologies Division.
Kennedy also spent 17 years working with Bell Laboratories in managerial and technical positions, and has in the past been an adjunct professor at Rutgers University and served as a congressional fellow to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology.
John Dickson's time with Agere Systems spanned five years, where he served as CEO until 2005. Prior to this position, Dickson spent seven years with AT&T/Lucent Technologies' Microelectronics and Communication Technologies Group in the capacity of CEO and corporate executive vice president.
He has also worked in a variety of senior management roles with companies such as Texas Instruments, Plessey Semiconductor and LSI Logic Corp. and is a member of the board of directors for Frontier Silicon, Ltd. and National Semiconductor Corp. Mr. Dickson has a B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering and a diploma in business studies from the University of Sheffield.
KLA-Tencor is the largest semiconductor metrology equipment supplier in the industry.
