Dr. Cristina Amon to serve on MKS Board of Directors |

The MKS Annual Meeting of Shareholders saw the addition of Dr. Cristina Amon to the company board. Currently researching the development of numerical algorithms for sub-micron and nanoscale heat transport in semiconductors, Amon's research has earned her various industry awards over the years.
Up until 2006, Dr. Amon was the Raymond J. Lane Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems at Carnegie Mellon University. She then took the role of Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at University of Toronto, and also serves in the position of Alumni Chair Professor in Bioengineering of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. A member of the advisory board for several universities, Dr. Amon is also an active member in the National Academy of Engineering, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
