Ponte Solutions adds technical and marketing gurus to team |

 Ponte Solutions, Inc. has released the news that it has added two industry specialists to its technical and marketing divisions. Michael Smayling joins the company's technical advisory team, while EDA executive Michael Buehler-Garcia (pictured) joins as vice president of marketing and business development.
Mr. Smayling brings over 30 years of experience to the company, most recently having served as CTO of Applied Materials' Maydan Technology Center. He also worked at Texas Instruments, where he was made a Fellow of the company and also gave lectures at Rice University for over 10 years. A senior member of IEEE, Smayling has contributed to over 50 publications, holds over 80 U.S. patents and represented TI and Applied Materials at SRC.
Previously managing director for Alanza Technologies, Mr. Buehler-Garcia brings more than 20 years of business development experience to his new role with Ponte. He has, in the past, worked as vice president of worldwide marketing and business development for both iRoc Technologies and Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing. Other past posts include group director of strategic relationship marketing at Cadence Design Systems and vice president and general manager of PDF Solutions' DFM Business Unit.
