A major memory chip manufacturer has place a follow-on order with Axcelis Technologies for 10 RapidStrip 320 photoresist dry strip tools. The systems will begin to ship in the second quarter to multiple sites worldwide, according to Axcelis.
"RapidStrip is ideally suited for a high volume manufacturing environment by its ability to perform fast, effective cleans for the full range of existing and emerging cleaning applications. Its simple, compact design results in low cost of ownership as well as productivity and reliability critical for today's manufacturing environment," said Mary Puma, chairman and CEO of Axcelis. "These facts, coupled with our award-winning service capabilities were significant factors in the selection process."
