Chartered Semiconductor has announced managerial role makeovers as a means to place the company in position for its next growth phase. All in all, the company's changes have resulted in a new senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing (Kay Chai Ang); senior vice president of fab operations (Simon Yang, pictured, also CTO); president of Americas (Mike Rekuc); and the newly created role of vice president of business development and global accounts (Dominique Simon).
Chia Song Hwee, president and CEO of Chartered, believes that the realignment of these positions will result in better customer service and a more efficient time-to-market performance, "thus positioning the company for its next phase of growth." Mr. Ang will now oversee all sales and marketing and customer service activities. Dominique Simon and Mike Rekuc will both report to Ang, while Mr. Ang will in turn report with Mr. Yang to Chia Song Hwee.
Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing is a semiconductor foundry.
