Leadership reshuffling announced for Rohm and Haas’ Electronic Materials Group Print E-mail

P. BrondeauIn line with its 2006 announcement of the implementation of the "Vision 2010" strategy, Rohm and Haas has announced the reorganization of its senior leadership team.  Each of the reshuffles are effective immediately and are a result of the promotion of Dr. Pierre Brondeau to executive vice president and business group executive for the Electronic Materials and new Specialty Materials groups.

Brondeau has been with Rohm and Haas since 1989 and has held various managerial roles in the company's Electronic Materials division since 1995.  His new position will see his responsibilities broaden, while he will retain responsibility for the company's European and Asia-Pacific regions.  His position shift has had a knock-on effect for several other Rohm and Haas executives.

Formerly vice president and business director for the company's Microelectronic Technologies business, Dr. Yi Hyon Paik has been promoted to the position of business group director for the Electronic Materials division.  He has been with Rohm and Haas since 1990 and has held various managerial roles for the company in the U.S. and Asia.

Dr. Dominic Yang has taken over from Dr. Paik as business director for the Microelectronic Technologies business.  Prior to this promotion, Dr. Yang was general manager for Rohm and Haas' CMP Technologies business unit.  An employee of the company since 1996, he has a considerable level of experience in the semiconductor industry garnered from his leadership roles with IBM and Motorola, Inc. in the past.

Sam Shoemaker, in turn, steps into Dr. Yang's shoes and will take over the CMP Technologies business in the role of director.  His previous role was as vice president and business director for Rohm and Haas' Circuit Board Technologies division.  He had been with Morton International's Electronic Materials Division since 1984 in technical and sales positions, and has remained with the company through its acquisition by Rohm and Haas in 1999.  He retains the role of director of the company's Asia-Pacific region.

Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials is an electronic material and technology supplier.
