Veteran Executive to step into PLX’s CFO vacancy |

PLX Technology, Inc. has named industry veteran Arthur O. Whipple as its new CFO. He will take over from Stephen Loh, financial director and corporate controller, who has served as interim CFO for the past six months while the company sought a suitable candidate for the position. Whipple will be responsible for the company's finance, treasury and investor relations activities.
His career in the semiconductor finance industry has spanned more than 30 years. He was most recently employed as vice president of finance, CFO and secretary for Silicon Storage Technology, Inc., prior to which he served initially as VP of finance, CFO and secretary and then as VP and general manager of QuickLogic Corp.'s logic products division. He has also held the position of VP of engineering for ILC Technology and VP of finance and operations for Precision Lamp, a subsidiary of QuickLogic Corp. He has held various engineering and financial roles in such companies as Fairchild Semiconductor, Monolithic Memories and Westinghouse Electric. He has a BSc. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
