New group publisher for SST magazine Print E-mail
Dec 05, 2006 at 12:04 PM
SSTPennWell Corporation has announced two new group publishers within its stable of electronics titles. Chris Platt has joined the company from Reed Business Information where he was most recently employed as an associate publisher at EDN magazine. He replaces David Barach as group publisher of Solid State Magazine (SST), who has left the company to start his own business within the publishing field, according to PennWell's spokesperson.

Barach had been with PennWell for approximately five years and was only made group publisher of SST earlier this year. Platt's appointment is with immediate effect, according to the company.

Tim Pritchard has also been made group publisher of Surface Mount Technology magazine with immediate effect. He was previously group publisher of Lightwave, Portable Design, and Connector Specifier - all titles owned by PennWell.
