Aviza strengthens Japanese operations with veteran technologist appointment Print E-mail

Dr. Yashiro Aviza Technology has named Dr. Masaaki Yashiro as President of Aviza Japan K.K.  Dr. Yashiro has most recently served as President and CEO of SEZ Japan, and in his new role with Aviza will assume responsibility for managing operations, customer support and marketing for the company's Japan base, and will report to Aviza's VP of Worldwide Sales and Customer Support, Rick O'Malley (pictured).
Dr. Yashiro has almost 30 years of experience in semiconductor-related companies, and has worked with such companies as Tokyo Electron Ltd., where he held the position of vice president of corporate development and technology; Texas Instruments where he oversaw the development of their DRAM technologies. He left   SEZ in October 2006 after a four year period at the company. He has a BSc, MSc and PhD in Applied Physics from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan.

Aviza Technology, Inc. is a semiconductor equipment supplier.
