FormFactor names Linear Technology CEO as new Board member |

Lothar Maier, CEO of Linear Technology Corporation, has been added to FormFactor's Board of Directors. A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Maier has more than 20 years of managerial experience and his appointment has been welcomed by FormFactor's chairman, Jim Prestridge.
"[Maier] has been a driving force behind Linear Technology's continued success as a leading supplier of high-performance analog ICs, and his extensive industry experience and strategic talent will be invaluable in helping guide FormFactor through its next phase of growth."
Maier served as COO of Linear Technology for over five years, prior to which he worked with Cypress Semiconductor. He spent 16 years with Cypress and held such positions as senior vice president and executive vice president of worldwide operations, amongst other managerial positions. He has a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
FormFactor Inc. provides wafer processing materials to the semiconductor industry.
