Marcel Tromp and Dr. Andrei Vityaev added to list of LSI Fellows |

LSI Logic Corp. have announced the appointment of two new Fellows to add to their list of those whose engineering achievements have deemed them the prestigious title. Fellows are appointed based on leadership skills, standards development, academic achievements and outstanding technical solutions creation, according to LSI Logic. The appointees have been named as Marcel Tromp and Dr. Andrei Vityaev (pictured), both of whom are based in LSI Logic's facilities in Milipitas, California.
Mr Tromp, who has an MSc in electrical engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, is a patent holder and has extensive experience in architecting and managing SoC systems. He joined LSI from his previous position as vice president of engineering at Pixelworks. He has also worked as chief architect and vice president of engineering at Equator Technologies. He has been appointed Fellow of the Consumer Products Group and will be responsible for direction of this department's architecture and technology.
Dr. Vityaev came to LSI from Broadcom Corporation, in which position he developed key technologies such as 65nm architectures. He holds eight patents, has a BSc in mathematics from Novosibirsk University in Russia and a PhD in mathematics from the University of California in San Diego. He is chief architect of LSI's Read Channel project.
LSI Logic provides silicon-to-systems IC solutions for the global technology market.
